Frequently Asked Questions

What are these screws for?
They're Class-3 self-drilling hex-head screws used to fix your aluminium gutter guard mesh, saddles and trims down to the roof and gutter edge. Self-drilling means no pre-drilling — the screw cuts its own hole as you go.
Won't the screws rust and ruin the look of my gutter guard?
Ours won't, because they're Class-3 corrosion-rated for Australian conditions and salt-spray tested for coastal durability. Cheap imported screws are the classic failure point — the coating breaks down and they bleed that ugly rusty-red stain down your fascia within a season or two, so the screw quality matters as much as the mesh.
Are they colour-matched to my roof and trims?
Yes — the heads are Colorbond-matched so they blend into your trims and mesh rather than dotting your roofline with shiny silver. We match the full colour range bar a few discontinued shades the steel suppliers no longer offer.
How hard are these to install myself?
Easy — they're self-drilling, so a standard drill or impact driver with a magnetic 1/4" hex bit drives them straight in without pre-drilling, and the magnet holds the screw so you're not fumbling one-handed up a ladder. They're designed for DIY; follow our installation guides, secure your ladder and take your time.
How many screws do I need?
It depends on your roof type, mesh layout and gutter run, so we can't give a one-size figure here. If you tell us your setup we'll help you work out the right quantity — call 1300 156 197 and we'll sort it.
Can I use these for a steel mesh job to keep possums out?
These screws are fine for fixing steel mesh, but note aluminium mesh won't stop a determined possum — we've seen them rip straight through it to get back to their young in the roof. If possums are your concern you need a steel mesh option, which we can source on request; call us and we'll build the right kit.
What does the warranty cover?
Our 20-year industry-leading warranty covers degradation of the material itself — the coating and steel breaking down or fading. It doesn't cover damage from falling branches, hail or neglect, so we'll always give it to you straight rather than overpromise.
What's the shipping cost?
Shipping is free on orders over $500 and a flat $20 under $500, dispatched from our Gold Coast warehouse with same or next business day dispatch depending on stock. Most metro deliveries land within 1–7 days.
