Frequently Asked Questions

What roof does the 4mm Corrugated - Valley Guard Kit suit?
It's built for corrugated (wavy) roof profiles and is designed to protect the valley sections where two roof planes meet and channel the most debris. If you've got a corrugated roof and want both your gutters and valleys covered, this is the kit for you.
How do I install it in a corrugated valley?
Lay the mesh evenly down the valley, then secure it in two passes. First place a saddle each side every 2 metres to hold the mesh straight, then fill in the rest on every corrugation — 21 saddles per metre across the valley. Focus on pushing the outer side of each saddle fully down into the low point; don't worry if the inner side lifts, the next saddle pushes that section down. Secure your ladder and use a harness.
What's actually in the kit?
You get the 4mm aluminium gutter guard mesh plus the fixings to install it: saddles and clips made from locally-sourced Australian steel (including BlueScope®), Colorbond-matched trims, and Class-3 self-drilling screws. It's a complete DIY kit, so you're not chasing extra hardware mid-job.
What does the 4mm mesh actually stop?
The 4mm aperture (3mm x 4mm) stops leaves, twigs, debris, birds and mice, which covers the vast majority of gutter and valley blockage problems. Being honest: it minimises rather than eliminates. Very fine matter like seeds, blossom or pine needles can still sit on top or pass through — no guard short of a roof with no gutter is 100% leaf-free.
Will this keep possums out of my roof?
No, possums need a steel mesh, aluminium won't stop a determined one. We've seen possums rip straight through aluminium to get back to their young, so if possums are your concern call us on 1300 156 197 and we can source a steel kit for you.
How is it sold, and can you cut it to my valley width?
It's sold in 10-metre (10m) increments, not per metre, so order the total length you need rounded up to the next 10m. We can cut custom mesh widths to suit unusual valleys for a small $25-per-roll cut fee, just ask when you order.
What colours can I get, and how long will it last?
The full Colorbond-matched colour range is available except a few discontinued colours the steel suppliers no longer offer. Because we use locally-sourced Australian steel and a premium powder coating, salt-spray tested to 1000+ hours, it resists the fading and rusty-red screw heads you often see on cheap overseas imports.
What does the 20-year warranty cover?
The 20-Year Industry-Leading Warranty covers degradation of the material itself, the mesh and coating breaking down or fading over time. It doesn't cover damage from falling branches, hail or neglect, gutter guard is for minimising maintenance, not eliminating it entirely.
Is it hard to install myself, and how fast do you ship?
It's designed for DIY, follow our installation guides, secure your ladder, use a harness and take your time on the valley sections. Shipping is free over $500 (flat $20 under that), dispatched same or next business day from our Gold Coast warehouse with 1–7 days to most metro areas.
