1000mm wide - Premium Woven Aluminium Ember Guard with a 2mm X 2mm hole aperture, and the highest grade powder coating available in the market, AkzoNobel Interpon D1010 Premium powder coating.
Aluminium being a non-combustible material, and our woven aluminium being a 2mm hole, it suitable as an ember guard in all BAL (Bushfire Attack Levels) ratings. Compliant with Australian Standard, AS 3959-2018.

Is this just the mesh, or a complete gutter guard kit?
This listing is mesh only — the 2mm Ember Guard aluminium roll on its own. If you need the saddles, clips, trims and screws to fix it down, order one of our full kits or call us on 1300 156 197 and we'll match the right fixings to your roof.
What does the 2mm Ember Guard actually stop?
The 2mm x 2mm aperture stops wind-borne embers plus finer debris, on top of the leaves, twigs, birds and mice a standard 4mm guard handles. It's the fire-conscious choice for bushfire-prone areas — AS 3959-2018 compliant, suitable across BAL ratings, CSIRO tested and non-combustible. Worth being upfront: gutter guard minimises debris, it doesn't eliminate it, so very fine matter like seeds, blossom or pine needles can still pass or sit on top.
Is 1000mm the right width for my roof?
1000mm is our widest roll and suits wider runs like some valleys and box gutters, but the right width really depends on your roof profile and gutter setup — so it's worth checking before you over-order. Give us a call on 1300 156 197 and we'll size it with you, and if you've got an unusual roof or box gutter we can build a custom kit. We can also cut custom widths for a small $25-per-roll cut fee.
How is it sold, and can you cut it to a custom width?
It's sold in 10-metre increments, not per single metre, so one unit is a 10m roll. We can cut custom widths for a small $25-per-roll cut fee — handy for unusual box gutters or non-standard valleys. For anything out of the ordinary, call us on 1300 156 197 and we'll build a custom kit.
Will this keep possums out of my roof?
No — possums need steel mesh, and aluminium won't stop a determined one. We've had jobs where possums tore straight through aluminium to get back to their young, so if possums are your concern, ask us about a steel option (we can source steel kits on request). Aluminium mesh like this is for leaves, debris, birds and mice — not possums.
Why choose your aluminium mesh over a cheaper import?
Cheap overseas mesh can look fine out of the box but fades fast, and the screw coatings often go rusty-red. Our guard uses premium powder coating and is salt-spray tested past 1000 hours for coastal durability — which is exactly why it lasts up here on the Gold Coast. For the steel fixings in our kits we use locally-sourced steel from leading Australian suppliers including BlueScope®, with Colorbond-matched trims and screw coatings.

It doesn't cover damage from falling branches, hail or neglect; gutter guard minimises maintenance, it doesn't eliminate it, so very fine matter like seeds, blossom or pine needles can still pass or sit on top.
What's the shipping and dispatch like?
Shipping is free over $500, or a flat $20 under that, dispatched from our Gold Coast warehouse with metro delivery in around 1-7 days. We dispatch same or next business day depending on stock. Installation is designed for DIY — follow our installation guides, secure your ladder, use a harness and take your time.
