Will this 4mm kit fit my corrugated roof?

Yes - this kit is built specifically for corrugated (standard wavy profile) roofs, with the saddles and clips designed to seat on that profile. If you have a different roof such as tile, Trimdek, Klip-Lok or a box gutter, choose the matching kit instead, or call us on 1300 156 197 and we will sort the right setup.

How do I install it on a corrugated roof?

Roll the mesh out along your gutter and pin it with one screw. Fit the trims to the gutter lip first (the longer side pins the mesh into the gutter), then install the saddles at 7 per metre — one on the high point of every second corrugation, screwed through its centre hole into the centre of the high point so the flaps hug the mesh down into the low points. Keep each screw dead-centre on the high point: if it drifts more than a millimetre the saddle lifts slightly and lets debris underneath. It's a DIY job — secure your ladder, use a harness and take your time.

What does the 4mm mesh actually stop?

The 4mm aluminium mesh (3mm x 4mm aperture) stops leaves, twigs, general debris, birds and mice from getting into your gutters. Being honest: gutter guard minimises the problem rather than eliminating it - very fine matter like seeds, blossom and pine needles can still sit on top or work through, so think of this as drastically reducing cleaning, not a never-touch-it-again fix.

What's actually in the kit?

Each kit includes the 4mm aluminium mesh, the saddles and clips (steel components from leading Australian suppliers including BlueScope®), Colorbond-matched trims, and Class-3 self-drilling screws to suit coastal conditions. It is a complete DIY package designed so you have everything needed to do the run.

Will it keep possums out?

No - aluminium mesh will not stop a determined possum. We have been to jobs where possums have ripped straight through aluminium to get back to their young in the roof, so if possums are your concern you need a steel mesh; we can source steel kits on request - just call 1300 156 197. For birds, mice and leaves, this 4mm aluminium kit is the right choice.

How is it sold and can you cut it to my width?

Mesh is sold in 10-metre increments (not per metre), and we can cut custom widths to suit your gutter for a small $25-per-roll cut fee. For unusual roofs or box gutters we build custom kits on request - give us a call and we will work it out with you.

What colours can I get?

We carry the full Colorbond-matched colour range across mesh trims and screw coatings, with only a few discontinued shades that the steel suppliers no longer offer. If you let us know your roof colour we will match it for you.
