What do these trims actually do?
The trims are the angled or flat strips that fix your gutter guard mesh neatly along the gutter line, holding the mesh edge down so leaves and debris shed off rather than collecting at the join. They give the finished job a clean, straight edge and stop the mesh lifting in wind.
Why are they sold in 1-metre lengths?
The 1-metre lengths make trims easy to handle on a ladder and simple to order to the exact run of your gutter — just count your metres and round up. If you have an unusual roof or box gutter and need a custom setup, give us a call on 1300 156 197 and we can build a kit to suit.
What colours do the trims come in?
Our trims are Colorbond-matched across the full range, so you can match your gutter, fascia or roof closely. A few colours that the steel suppliers have discontinued aren't available, but the great majority of the range is — if you're unsure of your colour, give us a call and we'll help you match it.
Are these aluminium or steel, and will the colour last?
Our steel components use locally-sourced steel from leading Australian suppliers including BlueScope®, with a premium powder coating. Cheap overseas imports can look fine at first but fade quickly and their screw coatings can go rusty-red — our local steel and coating are salt-spray tested (1000+ hours) to resist fading, which matters on the coast.
Do I need angled or flat trims?
It depends on your gutter and roof profile — angled trims suit one set of edge conditions and flat trims suit another. The trims are designed for DIY install alongside our mesh; follow our installation guides, secure your ladder and take your time, and if you're not sure which profile fits your setup call us before you order.
Can I just buy trims, or do I need the mesh too?
Trims are a component of the full gutter guard system — they hold the mesh to the gutter line, so they work together with the mesh rather than on their own. If you're doing a full job, you'll typically need mesh, trims and fasteners; call us and we'll make sure your order is complete.
How much is shipping and how fast will it arrive?
Shipping is free on orders over $500 and a flat $20 under $500, dispatched from our Gold Coast warehouse same or next business day depending on stock. Most metro deliveries land within 1–7 days.
Will the trims and mesh keep my gutters totally clean?
Honestly, no gutter guard eliminates cleaning — it minimises it. Trims and mesh stop leaves, twigs and debris (and our 4mm mesh keeps out birds and mice), but very fine matter like seeds, blossom and pine needles can still pass through or sit on top, so think of it as far less maintenance, not zero.
